Hotspots

Trying to bring together some bird-rich sites under this heading.

I started off with the Galapagos, and subsequently added Botswana and Argentina/Brazil. Then I thought it would be nice to add some British sites such as Lundy, Skomer, Skokholm and the Somerset Levels, and finally decided to complete the list with the nearby Forest Farm, Goldcliff Lagoons and the bird list in my front and back garden (the garden ticks). Since then I’ve also added Ramsey Island, Bardsey Island, Cosmeston Lakes and Roath Park Lake.

I’ve now lumped most of the localities in either ‘Local Hotspots’, ‘The Islands’ or ‘Hotspots Abroad’, with Somerset Levels currently orphaned.
