The Goldcliff area is deemed to be part of the Newport Wetlands, but bird-wise is separate from the RSPB Wetlands further west. The Goldcliff Lagoons area consists of three water bodies, Monk’s, Prior’s and Bec’s Lagoon. There are three hides (Greenshank, Curlew and Avocet) and several view points (Redshank, Lapwing, Snipe and Marsh).
