Honey Buzzard

Accipitriformes

Place: National Museum of Wales, Cardiff
Date: 28 October 2017.

This set of pictures are the exception to the rule that all of the images on my blog are mine. In this case, the original pictures were taken by Stephen Roberts, and I took the liberty of photographing some of the slides for his presentation “The Honey Buzzard – Wales’ secret raptor” as part of the “Unknown Wales 2017” conference at the National Museum of Wales. My main reason for this is that my chances of ever seeing, let alone photographing, a live honey buzzard are so close to nil as to be virtually non-existent. Plus, looking for their nest is not something that should be encouraged or even attempted unless you’re fully licensed to do so.
