Rarity of the year 2019 : caught in the mist nets near the Bird Observatory and not seen before or after – only 8 people (2 staff, 1 volunteer, and 5 members of the public) saw it, 3 or 4 of whom had cameras, in order to witness the second ever instance of this bird in Wales and the sixth in the UK (see also the Twitter entry for Bardsey Island)
Place: Ringing station, Bird Observatory, Bardsey Island, Gwynedd
Date: 19 May 2019.
